TX What spoiler is this?

I bought the car with this spoiler. I am told it may be an OEM R1 spoiler, PN FD01-V4-920G. It's mounted on my 94, but I am told these were "later" units? I am suspicious, am now thinking it may be aftermarket of some sort, but WHAT? It's not the 'whale tail' stock unit, I don't think? It hangs over the hatch edges.

Is there a badge in the center, underneath? It looks like it could be old school Re Amemiya Type II

Defiantly not a stock R1 spoiler. Its way to big and over stated.

I'd be defiant too if that wing was on my FD

It MAY BE a Racing Beat spoiler, but it really looks like my RE-Amemiya spoiler. I've got one and installed one on a project car, there should be a logo on the underside with "RE-(kanji writing)".

I really dig it, it has a little extra without being obnoxious.

Well now, it does NOT have that RE-Amemiya logo on the underside at all. Appears it never did. Did somebody make knock-offs? From that U tube video, there might be some other subtle differences....my side overhangs do not have those 'pads'.....

I think that might have been a PFS wing. Scroll through this article Sports Car International: RX-7 x3 (January 1994)

Maybe take it off and check if there is a brand name stamped on the under side mounting areas. Could very well be a knock off as well.
