so you have: mp, dp, cb, intake, pulleys, incercooler... well you have two choices: get either a new engine or an engine management system

um sorry mahjik but i'm going to have to disagree... he has five mods which is well over the three limit... why go suspension when you're just going to be towing the car around

Louis, you should really read up:

http://www.newwave.net/~flanham/wlan.../3modrule.html

The "Three Mod Rule" is BS. If he already has his boost under control, then he's fine.

A functional temp gauge would be at the top of my list. Maybe a radiator, and then an intercooler

thanks a lot for clearing that up! i always heard this and just assumed it to be true! but quick question though: so a boost controller can be used in place of an ECU? or at least temporaraly?

It really depends on the car and mods. A boost controller isn't necessarily going to help if the car is running into boost creep.

Basically, *IF* you can keep the boost at 10 PSI, you can stick all the bolt on mods you like (while keeping the stock turbos that is).

The problem most people have is keeping boost down with midpipes. Big power is made by raising the boost level. People have made around 260rwhp at 10 PSI on the stock ECU. However that's nothing to snuff at considering a stock FD is around 215-220rwhp. That's still a very healthy power increase!

i agree, manual tranny swap, that auto tranny isnt good for more power. the reason you cant hit 13s with those mod is because of the tranny. If you dont want to go faster. then i would recoment any reliablility mods you can think of, or suspension and brake work. good luck man.

hmmmmm.thanks for all u guys .I forget the egt too. potatochip : I think dont need a boost controler or ecu because i had complete exhaust dp,mp,cb and my boost pattern is 10-8-9 so im ok ...I was thinking the tranny swap but im gonna do it when the auto blows up. well I think i go with the intercooler and racing beat lowering spring's.I dont do the home depot mod bacause I know that im going raise the boost up and blow my engine or tranny so that would be later :-)

or maybe you didnt understand or read what Mahjik wrote.

a boost controler is not going to do anything for him right now. he is not experienceing any boost creep and a boost controler is not going to allow him to run less boost. i havent clicked the link that mahjik posted yet, but i can tell you that the 3 mod rule is BS like he said. if you are still running the stock levels, he will be fine.

now if an EMS was on his list of mods, then i would say you *could* be correct in what your suguestion of *next mod* would be.... but not in the case at hand IMHO.
