What RPM at 50MPH?
Hi,
After trying to fix my tach by resoldering the connections I think I have put the needle on incorrectly. I have read a post to remove the bottom stop pin and make the needle point to about -1500RPM but it still seems to read a bit low. After posting for a method to calibrate the tach properly, I think the remaining way would be to see how far off my tach is to other owners.
Could you please post your RPM at 50MPH or any other speed you mighy fancy
Thanks

50 mph, 4th gear, RPM is about 26-2800 in cruising.

EDIT: actually come to think of it this makes sense. The difference I quoted above is 30mph/1144rpm. And we all know the FD is capable of just over 200mph with stock gearing, so with 30mph/1144rpm, at 8000rpm you end up with a theoretical top speed of 209mph, which is just about right.
Long story short, 50mph in 5th should be ~1900 rpm.

what? this makes no sense to me. If both cars have stock 4.10 gears and stock tire size or a almost equal diameter then how can rpm at a certain mph be different?
I know Jack and Tom do not have the same RPM in 5th gear at 80mph. They both have stock wheels and tranny. Right? they are within 3-400 though.
