What is this plug for?

I can get a pic if needed, but I have been working on the interior of my car getting it back into as best shape as possible (going well I might add!!) and I found something weird.

It is tucked under the headliner, don't know where it goes, but a wire comes out kinda by the mirror, and it has what looks like a phone jack style connector at the end of it.

What the hell could this be for? I mean, it really looks like a phone cord connector that plugs into the wall jack.

Possibly a power cord for a previous owners radar detector?

I have never had a radar detector in my life, so I didn't know they even had that style of plug.

Thanks guys, it's not a problem, I was just curious what the hell it was.

ABout 5 months, why?

The cord was shoved clear up under the headliner, so that's why I have never noticed it.

I have the exact same thing. And I bought the car with zero modifications.

Sounds like some one had a radar detector hardwired. Several of them have phone type plugs.
