What not to do...

What not to do while you finish putting your car together. I started my car; idle was a little weird. I thought maybe the weather or the fact it hasn't been running in 2 weeks. Idle returned to normal. I then went for a test drive. Things were going well. So I decide to give it a little. Things were ok...then uhhh...throttle stuck at 4k...WTF ...Pulled over tried to shut the throttle-got it down to 1700...So I creep home and shut it down...It was late so I decided to wait till morning to find problem...Then while trying to go to sleep the light went off and I was wondering--did I remove the rag from the throttle elbow??? So this morning I open it up and...

Just thought I could share some of my stupidity as a lesson. Glad no harm came out of this.

LOL.

That's why I only use paper towels - I think they are less risk of damage if you make a mistake like this.

That's really funny. Glad you didn't damage anything. How could you not see it when putting the elbow back on?

It was late and the paper towel must have fallen towards the middle of the pipe. I'm curious though if anyone has had a rag make it to the rotors?

That's hilarious. I'm glad it didn't put you through a stop sign or something!

BTW, is that a pure-one oil filter ?
