Well I just Drove my '94 FD home

Yep, finally after 2 years of trolling I decided to join the money pit. I'll get pics up once I shower. I know I could just search, but can anyone give me a link to the manual fan switch mod?

The car came from Fritz Flynn, who is a great guy. Flew up there thursday and drove it home. I can see why he has such a great reputation. Well, I'll get the pics once I get this silly grin off my face.

Thats awesome. Great to see someone do the research first. You will have a substantial head start with your FD from all the trolling you have been doing here

Welcome to the club "officially" and lets see this beast.

So, I'm not gonna lie I've lost my camera's connect cord. And, in all the excitement I snapped all of one picture, so tomorrow I wash it and get some pictures and I'll find the cable. Heres a teaser from the advertisement.

I also failed to mention I drove it 900miles home. Fly into VA Thursday, and drove it home, about 450miles the first day, then 450 the second. It was fun. Good bonding time with the pops too.

I'm not gonna lie, the moonroof is awesome. I don't have the pull thing that covers it up, but with the tint(?) the way it is on that, you don't even feel the sun through it without it open. Its pretty cool looking. However, I did notice that it got stuck in the down position twice, I just gave it a little push up and then it worked fine on its on, common problem?

Also, anyone know why my passenger window won't go up with the passenger window button? Goes up fine from driver side and will go down on passenger side? In all honesty, it doesn't bother me just curious if its common.

The stickyness can be that the seals for the roof are a bit swollen / old, I was told for the window motor, that sometimes makes noise, there is this really thin silicone lubricant, and I've used it on the window motor, and all my little squeaks and stickieness and it's worked miracles... some stuff lasts only about 12 Mo, like the rear hatch cover squeak, but then I just re-spray...

Thinner than WD40

Try it...

It's called:

Pyroil
Multi Purpose
Silicone Lubricant

made by Valvoline....

Thanks sir. Thats what I was assuming on the roof, because the first time I noticed it was after it had rained, guessing the seals swelled a bit, just enough to make it too tough for the motor to open it.

I don't think theres a problem with the window motor because from the driver side switch the window works just fine. Maybe a bad connection on the passenger side switch? Other than little stuff like this, the car is running great. It needs a better IC and to get rid of this high flow cat because it has no emissions stuff and no air pump, after that its off to get tuned.

Glad to see somebody that actually did his research before buying! What a change. You will be very very happy you did. Have fun with the car, and take care of it!

The passenger window problem is common, there is a write up somewhere on here, just pull the switch out and take it apart then clean where the connectors are black with a dremel tool. It's fairly self explantory/easy to pull apart.

Thanks, I knew that a lot of little things like that were pretty common, so I wasn't too phased by it. Its only running on the acuator spring right now and I still can't get myself to WOT it.

Before you do this, make sure the child protection switch that turns off the passenger switch is on the "on" position. It's the long thin switch located right by the driver window switches. Toggle it into the opposite position and then try the window. Had this happen to me a few times.

Why they bothered with a child safety switch on and FD, I'll never know. Probably because it's required I guess.

When we were driving it home we played with it ON and OFF, didn't make a difference, so its probably the switch.

I don't believe so, but I'm going to be trying to find more locals to help me with any problems.
