Weirdest Exhaust Leak - SOLVED!!!

Background:

Installed Malloy reman 8 mos. ago, anti-seize on all turbo/exhaust/engine bolts and torqued.

Symptoms:

Exhaust leak sound
With hood open one can smell exhaust and your eyes water like a ****.

I checked the DP - fine there

I checked turbo to exhaust manifold - fine there; no loosened bolt or exhaust soot

Now, I was stumped. Took a mirror, looked around and found a threaded opening that wasn't covered by a bolt. It's one of those side mounted bolts b/w the hot and cold side. PM me with your email and I'll send pictures as for some reason I can't post pics. This was weird. So I checked my worn out set: sure enough, I was missing a bolt and exhaust was leaking out of the turbos through this 10 mm bolt head.

Took the existing one of bolt from the bad set of turbo.

Voila, no more exhaust leaks.

is this bolt reachable without having to pull them out?

Most of them can be reattached but the ones on the inner periphery would probably require turbo removal.

I got this turbo off a wrecked car 8 or 9 years ago and the owner stripped the car himself. May be he accidentally loosened one?

It's really weird in any case.

I pulled the same set of turbos twice to try and find that leak. The bolt backed out on it's own when my car had about 50K miles.

2 yrs later the same bolt came out again, this time I replaced it without taking any parts off luckily.
