I guess cruizing is around 83-85, and maybe this is just a number in my head, but around 100 seems pretty hot after shutdown. I wonder what other car gets after engine shutdown, but since I never bother find out, I will never know.

I always see 180 at shutdown because I run my fans for a few minutes right before I reach my destination. I have a fan mod.

@ shutdown and after shut down is a different story. The temp usually climbs up to at least 15-20 before it starts to come down.

Next time I am nothing to do, I will check it 5 minutes after shutdown. Keep in mind, the cooler it is before shutdown, the cooler it will be after.

If I can, I like to open the hood and let the engine bay "breath" some while I'm letting it cool down...I normally let it idle for 5mins or so and then let the fans run for 2-3mins and see the temp after shutdown get to around 96-100C...If I don't let it idle for that long and keep thing closed I get temp as high as 110C!

Yes, the car heat soaks after shutdown. Just like any other car. Don't worry about it.
