Visual impressions of JetHot

I just got my LIM back from coating... still pretty good looking, but for some reason I thought it would be smoother. I know the manifold is textured, but even on the block off plate, it still appears to have some texture. Either way it is more for function than form. I am interested to see the difference in heat blocked.

It looks like you have the plate covered with the finish. Aren't you worried about it cracking if you need to take the screws out for some reason? It seems to me like you'd have everything done separately, and then put it together after the fact rather than plate the screws in.

What model is that manifold off of? It looks to be casted differently than any other I've seen.

Yeah I have the UIM too... but you have to use the 20B throttle body. That has the ISC on it, also I don’t think the FD TB seals properly.

Ah Dave, you and me both..... its been way too long. I still have some rough spots to get through but im on the right path. Rikki said you guys had to do something crazy to fit a SMIC duct in with an upgraded radiator? I am looking at my setup and it doesn't look like it will fit.

Unique but it sounds like a lot of extra work, you cant get a 20B TB? This is what Jspecracer said about it:

Reasons for the 20B throttle body?

1. 13B-rew throttle body bolts up to the cosmo intake...but isn't shaped the same. The cosmo has a small lip on the bottom(appx. 2 to 3mm) that will allow air to bypass the throttle body and allows air to seep thru.

2. Cosmo 20B is 2mm bigger than stock FD.

3. Cosmo 13B UIM does not have a idle control valve built in like the 13B-rew UIM. The 20B throttle body has one.

4. Cosmo 20B is about 1 to 2 cm longer than the stock FD throttle body. Since the cosmo 13B UIM is shorter than the FD UIM, the 20B throttle body being longer allows the throttle body elbow to clear the oil filler neck.

Although with this setup you have to do something new for a throttle body cable, since its on the firewall side.
