CT Fuel Filter Recomendations.

12a n/a Bridgeport.

What is the recommended fuel filter?

Right now I have a cheap glass filter with a holley blue and regulator set at 5.5

Car is running out of fuel when secondary's open.

Running on primary's only, it runs very well.

Cant find any flow rates for the clear glass filters.

What does the stock filter flow, and how much hp will it work effectively till.

Edelbrock 650 avs carb. w/1" 4 hole riser. Primary tuning went very well. Very responsive, no bogging/lagging, no problems at all. As soon as I hook the secondary's up, it feels like im running out of fuel.

Not yet verified by a gauge taped to the windshield, but I know the feeling.

Have .110 secondary jets in, so I don't think they are too small. Went from .85 to the .110's with the same loss in fuel feeling/stuttering.

Thanks.

Sounds exactly like this:

Going to visually check fuel pressure under accel. I guess that's my only next step.

If the secondary runs out of fuel then I'd look elsewhere than the filter.

I use whatever GM fuel filter with two 3/8" quick disconnects is. 26431 or 26434 or something at NAPA. I have a couple of repair ends for 5/16 plastic line hose-clamped to the rubber hoses. Works great and changing filters is fast. But I haven't had to change the filter yet...
