they are funny looking little buggers but they seal things up too. I didn't even know they restricted anything I just thought they were inner o rings lol.

Funny you should say that. I corded two of my Continental Challenge (Hoosiers) take-off's in 275/35R18, and ran NEW BFG R1's in 245/45R16's, and she handled better than ever, due to both the fresh rubber, and the lighter unsprung weight! The 16's on factory wheels, is about 10-lbs. LIGTHER per wheel!

Can't wait to see your vids!

You are soooo effing F#cked, that guy is CRAZY!!!!!

Sounds a little more like a lunatic redneck at hog hollerin contest so whatever you do don't listen to what he's saying not that you'll understand many if any of the words that are coming out of his mouth

On a serious note (well the above does have some serious points) I still don't have the final word on the skidpad yet but I will post asap on that.

I'm going to try to arrive fairly early on Thursday (paddock opens at 5:30) and hopefully Pete will head down with me and we can each save a spot.

Those typically don't have passenger seats... Have fun sitting on the floor and hanging onto the roll cage!

Well it has to have equal restraints in order to be used... but a beginner student in a factory race car? I'm hoping that's a typo. A regular road-going GT3 for a beginner is pushing it.

On the other hand, I may have to take it out for a few laps to show him the line... :-)

Have fun with that pete! Dont drink too much on Saturday night, hangovers and stupid loud cars dont mix.

Car prep has went great this weekend. I'm jumping on a plane back to Texas, but dan and brian should be firing it up shortly.

I still have a pretty large list of things to finish up on my car before we leave. Hopefully work is slow enough this week where I can get everything done in time! I was hoping to get my water aquamist installed before this event, but it's not looking good.

8!? wow, that's impressive, rotary (mostly )powa represent!!

^^^^

I need to re-read the PCA instructors guidelines on driving student cars :-)

All the same, I would've rather they gave me one of our RX7 guys, maybe someone w/ a 3-rotor! I guess I should feel good that they have this sort of confidence in me. Either that, or they are trying to send me a message to get lost. If I get a 600hp Cobra kit car with a teenaged student and lap belts next time, I'll know.

You should shoot them an email or have one of the RX-7 guys shoot them an email requesting you and see if you can get it changed. I'd stick with the Cup Car though

Along those same lines, that's the only time I've tapped as an instructor. LS swapped lotus 7. 450rwhp, 1500lbs. The driver "use to race in the 70's" and it was his first DE. I had a communicator but with only a 6in piece of lexan as a windshield, you couldn't hear anything. Half my right side was hanging out of the car. We got pretty loose a couple of times(at Road Atlanta which is lined with concrete walls) and I ended the session early. Nope, not my time. Talked to the driver, talked to the organization and they took it from there.

"Only time I tapped" I love it

I haven't tapped out yet but I've experienced some nasty positions for sure.

Me and my 3 rotor would love to switch to one of you guys as instructor I am currently assigned to a Miata guy but would more like an expert RX7 instructor.

The car does a little under 600 WHP at 12 PSI which is what I am planning on driving at VIR.

I am also coming with anothe guy that wanted to share seat time in the car but the organizers can't quite seem to get that straight so we will see how that works out.
