i have seen this a couple times before but never asked until i got my hands on one. i see people use this but i have no idea where it goes. im pretty sure it goes in one of the lines that go to the intake but then where does the little vacuum line that would come off of this go?

 

I think I've seen that used as an airpump silencer. It's a really crappy way to do it, though.

That's about it, no other good use I can see. My chair cap method for silencing the airpump is way better.
