vacuum hose simplification question

i have been looking at this diagram for a sequential vacuum system simplification. i was wondering if there was anything that i needed to do this simplification besides the stock system and the proper routing. http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/turbo_s...lification.htm the website i found it on if anyone has done it before and can verify.

You can simplify the system even more than that, there are other simplification charts out there. Just put a car back together this morning with simplified sequential.

I will try to find the thread for you with more diagrams to look over.

I havent forgot about you, here are the 3 charts in this thread. The middle one is probably the most simplified and easy to understand. You can delete more stuff from the chart also but this should be a good starting point for you.

If you run just a straight piece of vacuum hose and get rid of the wastegate restrictor pills it will just run about 7-8lbs of boost as it will run off the wastegate spring which is 7lbs.

awesome. ill just run some straight hose from the actuators and when my boost controller gets here ill clip the hose and install it.

another problem i am having though. i removed the air pump, and i can't seem to think of how to route the belt so that the water pump gets enough belt on it to satisfy me that it wont slip on the belt. i went to the auto parts store to see about replacing that pully with a grooved pulley, but had no luck. their advice was to go to a junkyard to get one. so, i was wondering what you guys have done to reroute the belt, what size belt you used, and if you replaced the pulley or not?

did you read about eliminating the airpump before you did it? this topic is discused alot of the forum, there are ALOT of airpump elimination pulley kits out there, the most popular is probably the GReddy ones you can get them from Rotary Performance in Garland, TX www.rx7.com, or there should be some for sale here on the forum.

yeah i noticed that after i posted. i was thinking that i could possibly find a pulley at a junk yard that would serve the purpose and not cost $125. then measure the size, and buy just a normal belt of the size i need. either that or just put the air pump back on for now. worry about the new pulley later on down the road.
