why did u use a torch to look around? where did the pre existing line come from yes a joint but where did it lead to?
the empty pipe u show can b one of three things from my memory..

swtiching solenoid
double throttle
egr

since its in the middle i think its safe to assume egr... from memory that is..

since your car is jdm... u have no egr so its all good.

I used a torch so i could get a better look at it, i will look at where the that cable goes and post back. Hoses are 52,000kms old, i am planning to replace them soon just getting all the bits i need.

Torch ! Do you live in a cave with that FD with a stick and rag ball dipped in oil ?

Most folks call it a flashlight.

No Americans call it that, just like you call Jelly Jello and a partner means you are in a same sex relationship, we do use flashlight too but only on the weekends

The main/only differences should be the ACV and AWS. IIRC, JDM's do not have those components. Everything else should be the same.

I also have a 92 JDM and if I remember correctly, when I had my pressure chamber off I notcied an empty hard pipe that went from the front of the manifold all the way to the back. I believe this is the same pipe you are describing.

I'll see if I can take a look in the next couple of days to confirm this.
