Vacuum hose help.

Hello Everyone,

I am redoing my vacuum hoses. I have used the diagram for most of the confusing areas but I am not sure about a couple of them.

Here are the pics.

Which one is correct??

Second Question:

I have a AST delete. Do I just leave the nipple open or should I plug it on the rats nest. It looks like it was left open by the previous owner but I would like to do it correctly.

Here is a picture of the diagram of what I am referring to. I have marked the line in red and put questions marks.

That line is not for the AST. AST is Air Separation Tank which is for your cooling system. An AST delete involves getting a new coolant filler neck with a nipple and pressure cap on it and running the nipple to the overflow tank. That vacuum tank is used to store vacuum for the Turbo Control Actuator.

Hey Matt,

Thanks for the clarification. It looks like I dont have that vacuum tank. Is that normal? Can the vacuum tank be deleted?

thanks

Am I not seeing the tank here or is it not here?

The vacuum tank is behind the PS/AC pullies. The pressure tank is on top between the alternator and UIM. Both are shown in diagram in post 4

I want to thank everyone for your help. It turns out the vacuum hose was still connected to the vacuum tank and it was tucked on the side o the alternator so I could not easily see it. I replaced the hose with a silicone hose and we are all good.

Thanks again!
