v-mount radiator
where is a good place to get a custom radiator for a v mount?
should i get a single pass or some of the fancy n flow one's or something like that?
i hear people modify koyo's if i go this route which one do i get and i'm not sure what exactly what to do there's not really a write up on it.

You could contact Jason at RX7Store.net. I think he is making custom koyo's for vmounts. He also produces a pretty cheap vmount kit if you wish to do it the easy way. OR if you are a DIYer, then search for my custom vmount thread and I have some pics of when I welded up my koyo for my vmount. It really is pretty easy, but it of coarse will be easier to just buy one from Jason. I would purchase a regular koyo, not the n-flow.
In short to transform a reg koyo you turn in into a v-flow if you will... Create new endtank and outlet on top of radiator with a separator plate to force coolant down through the radiator and then back up and out the new outlet. Block off the old outlet and create a new drain on the backside of radiator.
**edit. here is a link with my pics. https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/my-custom-vmount-setup-862626/

i just had my fluidyne cut and redone like oo7arkman did. originally, it was going to be a couple hundred, then it had to be sent somewhere else, yada, yada, yada... it was about $400. This also came with a chance that since it had several years of use on it that it wasn't going to take the weld.
I'm still in mid build, so we'll see where it gets me.

^^ Sorry to hear that. Unless the person welding did not clean it properly before welding I cannot see any reason for the weld to not hold. Good luck with your build.
OP, if you are purchasing a new radiator anyway the best idea may just be to pick one up from rx7store.net

I used one from an Evo 9 since it was the biggest/widest on that would still fit, and had it modified. If I were to do it again I would have just had one built from scratch. Same with the intercooler. Maybe next time.

i am currently going through this process right now and it looks to be more expensive if you modifiey the stuff you already have. the kit that you get at rx7store has alot of other stuff that you will need to like pipes and stuff like that and my fabricator said go with the kit it will be cheaper so thats what im going through right now
