Upgraded twins.

I am considering upgrading my stock twin turbo's. Does anyone know who makes a nice kit for a good deal? I want to stick with the sequential setup. Unless I am persuaded otherwise. If I am to upgrade the turbo's, do I need to upgrade anything with it, or can I just drop them in. I was looking at B&R's at rx7store.net.

Thanks,
Mike

My mods so far. upgraded fuel pump, M2 airbox, hardpipes, Greddy smic, Greddy hard elbow, efini y-pipe, apex'i Power FC, Aluminum ast, HKS bov, HKS Downpipe, Greddy EVO exhaust, Bonez Hi-Flow Cat.

People seem to like the BNR stage 3s. Goodfella swears by them. They put down gobs of power, spool quick. They are a lot beefer than the 99's.

nothing is easy on our cars like it is on others. Go with the BNRs. They probably will last longer and take more of a thrashing should you decide to up the boost later. They also have a mechanically adjustable arm on them from what I understand for boost control. Can't wait to get a set myself.

I wouldn't call the '99 Spec Twins and "upgrade" per say. They are a "better replacement" but they aren't really an upgrade.

If you are looking for "upgraded stock twins", BNR's are the only option right now since M2 is gone.

Knight Sports makes a set of upgraded twins also. RF420 they have upgraded turbines like the BNR do. I wouldnt think they would be as easy to get though.

They are MUCH more expennsive than the BNR's and have thinner turbine shafts from what I can tell.

Pettit doesn't have them on their website anymore, they just offer the 99 spec twins. Maybe they stopped making them.

It seems that the BNR's is all we have left.

Do not forget the fuel system if you plan on using BNRs at high boost. Also may want to invest some money on a boost controller.. You should be running somewhere in 75+ percent on your injector duty according to your mods as is..
