uim

so i took off my uim off to check my hoses and i put it back together already. im getting two hallman boost controllers and have only connected one so far. but i disconnected both selonoids to the actuaters already. would this cause the car not to fully start. i turn the key. it wants to start but wont

ok now the car starts but the idle is crap and it is smoking a lil were the downpipe and turbos are...

For reference in your WTB ad ( https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=693420 ), that's an INTAKE AIR THERMOSENSOR. IIRC ~ $45 shipped from Malloy Mazda, and you'd probably have it in 2 or 3 days. As you know now, they're a PITA to change out. Have you considered just getting a new one?

make sure u got everything hooked back up.......the maps sensor hose and the tps connector can cause a rough idle if disconected.....and u would have had to remove them both to take off the uim

Sounds Like the map sensor... The sensor is on the firewall and the vacuum line goes to the nipple on the UIM by the throttle body

yeah you guys were right. i connected map sensor to the double-throttle control actuator. and the other hose to the nipple on the uim by the throttle body by accident.
