Trim removal

Hi,want to fit my new boost gauge in the car,How do you remove the trim panel on the inside of the windscreen pillar with out breaking it.Thanks,Rix

With one of my favorite tools! Trim and tack pry tool kit.

Edit: Works great on those pos plastic pop rivets, too.

You can do the removal if you know where pins are and you're very skilled. You can buy the tool also at Sears for half price.

also look at the shop manals linked from this site. helps to know where the pin is and what direction releases it.

I can't help but think there's a lot easier places to mount a boost gauge. I'd love to see pics after the fact though!

boost gauge

Thanks for all your replys,I have it in,And my prosport triple gauge pod in, one of a kind rhd i think.,My hks gauges are 46mm and if you open out the prosport gauge blanks they fit perfect.Just going out side to do some pix,cheers,rix

Talking boost gauge fitted

Here is the pix,Not the best camera.Prosport lhd triple gauge pod,And a lhd pillar pod from cork sport,Both have excellent fitment.Both top quality products.

Hey there, your interior looks great! I like the way the gauges flow with the steering wheel/head unit/shift ****. I notice you have the 180kmh speedometer. Since an rx7's third gear ends at about 180kmh, you'll want to get the other spec speedometer. IIRC it ends at 280 or 300kmh?

There's a guy here that does the conversion in a day but I can't remember his name. Starts with an R maybe?
