Switched power in the trunk area?

I'm looking to install an auxiliary power port in the trunk to power an in-car camera for track events. I'd like to tap into some ignition-switched power in the trunk, but not from the fuel pump. I'm also a little hesitant to draw any power from the ABS computer. I don't know of anything else back there though. Any ideas?

Thanks!

You could tap in to the antenna motor. Look at page J-3 in the wiring diagram.

It is safer to run you a switched 12v source back there.

I didn't even think about the power antenna. I will check that out. My car doesn't have a radio anyway so the antenna doesn't even need to be connected.

This is a great idea, my camera battery seems to run out constantly at the track.

Thanks for the recommendation, it works perfectly! I used the switched ACC power from the antenna and mounted the accessory power to the underside of my harness bar. With the center divider and the parcel shelf in place it's almost completely invisible. When I put back in the trunk plastics, it'll hide the wiring better as well.
