For those with FEED hoods...
I just got a FEED hood not too long ago; Is it safe or would there be a potential problem having the hood with no rain gaurd? My car sits now with no motor in it, however in the future I wanted to know if I should be concerned.
texas weather sucks man. rain is very random. i keep mine garaged but when it does happen to rain and im out, i keep an aluminum rain gaurd thing from home depot and cover the top of my intake with it and it work good.
My car isn't garaged.
I notice when I rinse off my car, unless I directly spray the water in the vents, not a whole lot of water actually gets down into the bay. You're absolutely right, that ridge does hold a lot of water. I can see how driving in the rain wouldn't allow much, if any, water in the bay as well. I just was thinking about when it sat outside my house over night or parked anywhere for that matter during a storm.
I have a car cover, but rain is unpredictable at times, especially in Texas.
