Plugging the y-pipe bung? (searched)

For those of you running the stock twins or stock/efini y-pipe with an aftermarket bov, what did you use to plug the outlet in the y-pipe for the stock bov? A lot of aftermarket plumbing or intercoolers come with a bung for an aftermarket bov, I'm curious how you plug the stock one in that case.

ya ya, another bov thread, but I really haven't been able to find an answer to this question! Please....

How about a short piece of hose with a bolt of appropriate size and two clamps?

You can find rubber caps in the Help! section of your local auto store that will fit and can be held in place with a clamp.

Wouldn't a plastic cap melt down there?

A plastic one would but not a rubber one. I have a rubber one on mine with the clamp. No problems.

They are rubber - not plastic. They are termed 'coolant hose caps' on the package. I've been using one on the AWS barb for several years, thought I'm not definite that it could handle the y-pipe heat levels.

The rubber vacuum caps are crap. However, the Help! coolant hose caps are pretty sturdy.

I cut out the area around the nipple , all the low part and weld in a new part to change the shape of the inside of the pipe so they, both styles , will flow better .
