Yup, I have had brand new plugs that were cracked(insulator) Try an new set of plugs just to see(you can always keep em for later use if this isn't the problem). You may also look into replacing the subharness for your coil pack, if you have an old style grounded coil harness and have a bad lead (broken insulation on wire) in the harness it can cause a severe voltage drop at high rpm thus causing your problem(I had a similar problem with my car several years ago) The subharness for the coils is around $50 and most likely if this isn't the problem it's going to need to be replaced any way at some point.

I have a somewhat similar problem with the car stumbling as the secondaries com on line at boost. I am thinking its a turbo issue because it pulls fine and smooth until 4,300 rpm or so. Maybe the Charge Relief Solenoid/Valve? Actuator? Havn't started troubleshooting it yet, but the problem built up gradually.

Maybe the same issue, maybe not....

Update:
I think i found the culprit to my ignition problems, i was looking at the coil harness today and i happen to see the ground was ripped off. The bolt and connector are just sitting on the coil with no wire. Tomorrow im going to put a new ground, but my only problem is where should i ground it too?

Update :

changed out the old sparkplugs, and the car is running like a champ. I might be paranoid about not having a properly working FD for a while, but i think those Magnecore wires freed up a little power. Funny i was driving around enjoying the car tonite when a STI tried me from a roll. Second turbo kicked in and i couldnt believe how hard i pulled the Scooby.
