street port

I have a few questions about street ports, I want to get my engine street ported but Im not sure of the best place to get it done, I could have it done in Florida or North Carolina. Could you guys recomend some shops in those areas and if youve used them how was the service, and about whats the going cost for for a street port? Im not looking for a large street port just a mild one. Thanks in advance guys.

Well it depends. The place Im thinkin of that you would look at in NC is that in Raleigh ? I used to be in NC and ordered a motor from the RX7 Store in Ohio and payed 250-300 for my street porting and it wasa somewhat larger street port. Take shop rep into consideraton. As far as any shops in FL idk how good they are but from what Ive heard the one in NC is pretty decent. If you can find any type of customer reviews for the shops I would look at those before you pick one. People arent gona hold anything back if they're happy or not with that kinda work. Good Luck.

I dont think you can go wrong with Pettit! They've been around forever and although they may be a bit pricey you get what you pay for.

I can suggest an alternative, Brian Cain from BDC motorsports...I just had him do a bridge port job on a set of new front and rear irons for my FD and they came out VERY NICE!!!!! I will be posting pics later this weekend before I assemble my engine.
