strange question

I've been a member for 8 or 9 months now, and have read almost every post in the 3rd gen forum to learn as much as i can before buying a FD, and i was wondering, would it be worth the gain in headroom to have the roof changed from a sunroof to a non-sunroof, or should i just wait and buy one without a sunroof? i'm 6'4, and have trouble with headroom in most vehicles i ride in (everything from an escort to the mini van i drive daily).

Change roofs??? Sounds like opening up a whole can of worms there. The FD is plagued with enough problems already so don't give yourself additional headaches.

I'd say wait till you find a non sunroof version.

You probably won't fit in a FD with a sunroof, unless you are very short waisted (long legs). You won't know for sure until you try to get in one.

Does not sound very cost friendly.. and if done wrong, might risk your safety..

I've driven a few third gens and I didn't have any trouble with headroom. I'm about 6'4 but as someone mentioned above me.... long legs... short torso...

Wait for one without a sunroof or find a different car.
