Strange noise from left front wheel...

OK guys i got a problem. When im low rpm in 1st and 2nd gear i hear a very noticeable type of metal to metal contact coming from the front left wheel area. Kinda like im dragging a piece of metal against the ground (which im not). It happens in intervals which are identical to wheel speed. (every time the wheel does a full revolution) It also dosn't happen when i step on the brakes. Anyone know what could be the problem or do u need more info? Thanks!

Could it be your brakes!! My pads are in good condition but everyonce in a while they squel (like if I hit a big bump) I tap the brakes and its gone.

YOu think some Hawk pads might help it out? I was looking into getting some anyways, but would i need to upgrade my rotors also? TIA!

You might have a warped rotor on that brake and at lower vehicle speeds the high warped spot in the rotor is being ever so lightly being touched by the pads. I have seen this before in other cars. Get the rotors' runout checked at a shop and also have the wheel bearings checked just in case.

Why don't you take the pads out ,and check it all instead of just asking the question? You might just learn
something.

Conan,

Don't worry about idiots like that. They'll get what's coming to 'em soon enough, they can't hold on to their sanity forever.
