Question Stock Injector Size

Hi guys! I drive a 93 R1. What size are my stock injectors? I read that it is 550cc/850cc but my workshop says that it is 400cc/550cc??? He says that the 93 spec has smaller injectors than the 99 spec. I was going to order new injectors, he showed me this catalog from Power Enterprise in Japan and the catalog only recommended 550cc/850cc??? And that is their aftermarket upgrade. Hence his logic that this can't be the stock injector sizes! Any info anyone??? :-)

Your shop is wrong. Stock was 550/850cc.

Ya, don't go asking shops for injectors. Just to see how much it would be I went into a 'performance' shop up the road and asked how much they could get a K2RD secondary fuel rail and 1600cc injectors and he looked at me like I was crazy. He is known for his Supra that was in Super Street that had like 650hp and he told me that he only had 720's in there. I wouldn't have been surprised but one of the guys who installs parts for him has a '94 FD.

Oh well, if I didn't have one I would think 1600's seemed kinda high too

nope. You'll need bigger ones to extract the full potential of your apexi turbo. Your secondaries have no bearing on your idle. You can run 850cc primaries with no problems, assuming you have the proper engine management. Shoot me an email if you have any more questions, because I am headed off to bed

Secondaries don't fire at idle, so you can have the BIGGEST size ever possible, it will still idle fine.
