Stock fuel system O-ring question.
I tried to order the O-rings which go on the pressure regulator and the pulsation damper, which according to the parts book are numbered 13-253. But Malloy sent me one 13-253 and one 13-ZG3 (which is the smaller of the two O-rings that go on a primary injector). Looking at them side by side, I can't see a visual difference between them. So I'm wondering if it's OK to use a 13-ZG3 where a 13-253 is supposed to go. I don't want to wait around for more parts; I'm trying to get my car together before it gets too cold.
thanks,
James

There's also ZG3 on the damper, 253 on the reg....the full part number digits will give a prefix difference. Thought there was a minor difference in thickness, but been a long time.

Hmmm. My '93 parts book shows 13-253 on both the regulator and the pulsation damper. Maybe they put ZG3 on the damper when that fuel line recall came out?

Probably been an update in the intervening years.
Damper is N3A1-13-ZG3
Reg is 8574-13-253
Primary injector lower O ring NF01-13-ZG3.
Know the only bits I sourced from Mazda were the socket diffuser ones which are unique, the rest just sized up at a hydraulic place and asked for viton.
