starter stopped clicking
basically i have the problem of my car not starting so here's the scenario.
i started the car the other morning to move it out of the way so my parents to leave to church and so i went back to sleep. i woke up and got ready for work and tried starting my car but before my car would always do the clicking several times before it actually turned over but it stopped clicking now but i have power to my lights and radio and so forth. could it be my clutch switch? or my starter that went out?? i found little pieces of like a rubber stopper on my carpet so i threw it out, could that be from the clutch assembly somewhere under ther? or am i just paranoid??

Do your lights dim when you press the brake? I had a similar problem and it turned out that the connection to the battery was lose. Sometimes it can get enough power for little things like lights, but not enough for a starter. I'd take off the battery connections and clean them. Also make sure that they are one there tight, crimp them with channel locks if you need to.

Since you found that rubber, I'd check the following:
1)Clutch switch (and connections)
2)Wire that connects to the starter solenoid(maybe loose, off or have corroded connection)
3)Ignition Switch....
My money is on the ignition switch...

Exact thing happened to me (after finding little plastic
parts on the floor).
It's your clutch switch.
There's another switch under there so don't trouble
shoot the wrong switch like I did.

10 bucks gets you a DVOM. You can evaluate most any fault. Mostly basic stuff. First evaluate the battery. Move up from there. I cant Imagine owning an FD without solid automotive knowledge. It's not a knock on anyone so don't think I am trying to convey that message. I am not an FD expert I have only had mine for a year but I do know auto electrical systems and am thankful to have that in my corner. PM me if you want some help
