SSautochrome please help

Hello everyone i baught my dad the ssautochrome manifold which is like a duplicate of the hks manifold. The only thing is that i dont know what do the specs of the turbo need to be to fit in the engine bay without hitting anything at all. I did try to look stuff up , i did call people but no one knows. Does anyone have that manifold and what kind of turbo are you using , with off center or on center ? Please help i need to know !

Their FD manifold uses a standard t4 footprint and is meant for use with the FD LIM and a standard tangential turbine housing. Excessively large a/r housings might still hit and require grinding or such, though. I actually used this manifold on an FC motor/LIM and an on center housing and it sat way out toward the fender well..an on center in an FD engine bay would NOT work.

I am using this manifold with a GT35R compressor and 1.00 divided exhaust. There is about a 1/2" between the compressor and the chassis and probably around an inch between the exhaust snail and the lower intake manifold.

The manifold is actually a knock off of a FEED/SONIC manifold and not the HKS.

Both flanges on my manifold were slightly warped. This is a common problem with the autochrome manifolds. Rather than take the chance I had them machined flat. Otherewise I think it's a good piece.

You used a 1.00 a/r exhaust housing? I have a 1.06 a/r but haven't got my block together. I was expecting to re-angle the flange but it sounds like there is still some room in your case. Also do you have pictures of it on your car?

a 1.00 definately fits. I posted pictures in my single turbo thread on the other forum. I can email them to you, but can't post them here because I don't have them hosted at a 'neutral' location

I found your blowzilla thread. I am happy to see the manifold actually works, I was kinda crossing my fingers before I like that wastegate and bov What made you pick that wastegate? I was looking at a NewGen but that Tial would be nice to save some cash.

The manifold will defintely need to be machined flat. I tried mine and it was leaking.I just got it back the other day and its nice and flat now.

Stock twins? heh...

not a chance.

What's wrong with the manifold that came with your stock twins?

This is to accomodate a t04 series aftermarket turbo and external wastegate.

Everything will be custom when using this.
