Spoiler removal
Does anyone know what the construction is of the rear hatch? If you remove the spoiler is their like 2 layers of sheetmetal with a gap between.
I called a bodyshop, and they off hand quoted 400-600 for sealing up the hatch for spoiler removal. If it is double layered, then that becomes harder to do properly, insuring no moisture gets in between...

1) Because of the nice clean look of the back end.
2) Because the car will be lighter.
3) Because there will be less drag.
4) Because I don't think I will ever need it (including on the track at speed).
5) Because I don't like the looks of it. I would much prefer the newer one, or the hideously expensive C-West one.

Maybe you should consider another tail that covers the holes. The '99 only covers some of them but something like the Racing Beat or preferably the CWest Hammer Shark should work.

After 8 or so years of non spoiler I'm going for the Feed.
[I agree that stock the car looks cleaner WITHOUT a spoiler but I'm going to have the Scoot hood for cooling considerations and feel that dictatates I go with some other aggressive looking parts to balance the look out. Plus it's time for a change for the 10 year anniversary.]

Arggh! It was Feed, not C-West. ****, I knew that.
As it is, I love the clean look of the no spoiler end. So I will go with that for a while, then when I get tired of that, go to something else.
Part of this was that I was going to a body shop to get some read mudguards painted. Then that brings up the argument about ruining clean lines by installing the mudguards
