Question Spark Plugs

I do a fair amount of highway driving and a fair amount of city driving. I need to know what kind of spark plugs and the heat range would be recommended. These questions may sound stupid, but hey, that's what these forums are for, aren't they....j/k.

Please list your mods, and then recommendations will follow.

you could also search as this has been covered extensively.

Most people will tell you to go with 9's all around if you have some basic bolt-ons. I use 10's myself and they actually seem to work the best for me.

You will see people running 10.5 and 11's but they will likely be heavily heavily modded.

Off hand without your mods, I would say go NGK 9's all around.

If you are currently stock, just go with the stock config of 7's and 9's. Once you add everything, change them out if you like to all 9's.

What's the best source for NGK platinum plugs nowadays? My usual source, Kragen's here in CA, upped their prices from about $6/plug to $11/plug.

Last ones I bought, about a month ago, were from Autozone for $6 a piece.

Was that for the platinums? Damn good price if so. I typically get them at schucks for about $8 apiece (platinum)

WTF, when did autozone start carrying plugs for the FD. i used to work there around a year ago and was sadened that they couldnt even order a damn plug. i then moved to kragen where they could get them. i now use the non-platniums cause my buddy still gives them to me for 2.50/each. i usually change them out around every oil change or before a big drive. i dont drive the car as much as i used to so i opt for the better conductor over the plug with better longetivity. autozone is starting to carry denso iridiums. wonder if they can get our 30.00 a piece plugs.

I have no idea. I didn't think they would carry any myself and just asked for the heck of it when I was picking up some other items. Even the guy working there was surprised that they had some.

Yea, they were "around" that price. I know it was a little less than $30 for all 4 and some Anti-Seize.
