Spark Plug Heat ranges for rx7
Just looking to purchase some new spark plugs for my rx7.
Going to be replacing both leading and trailing plugs.
I was just wondering wat set up I should use ?
Hotter plugs or colder plugs?
Should I mix and match on the leading and trailing (hotter vs colder) ?
My mods are
intake, dp, catback

stay with the stock plugs. unless your running around 300whp+ you wont need to worry about colder plugs. no sense in spending extra money if its not nessesary

If you feel like experimenting you can run 4 Trailing plugs, it's recommended if you have more then 2 mods, ie intake, catback. Only thing you could hurt is your MPG but you have an RX-7 so thats the last thing you should be worrying about.

All four plugs as 9's, looking at the price range and availability of spark plugs NGK's are the best for Rex's
, dam yeah what he said...haha
I wouldn't go any lower then the 7's on the leading, theres no reason with forced induction, now if you planned on making your 13b-re non turbo....just go buy an ls1 ha

any benefit to running hot plugs ?
Theres no benefit to running hotter plugs with forced induction, people run 2 7's and 2 9's because thats the stock configuration, it will get you the best MPG, but if you start raising the power with bolt on's I'd go with all 4 9's, runner hotter plugs could get you a cleaner burn off boost but on boost it was just make problems
nice!
i believe these are to cold for him right now. they could gunk up and prove useless. i would only recommend these for a 300w tuned setup
i'm telling you, stay with the stock plugs! i am running vertually the same setup as you right now; the stock ignition will do you good. and like was stated above, seach a little. i posted in around 6-7 "spark plug"threads this year. all have good information backed up by facts and links

I was really tired when I left the earlier post. I apologize. But my point is still valid for the OP, who has started well over 100 threads. Most of those those, like this one, could have been answered with a simple search.
