Smoke more when colder?

It was 20 degrees this morning and I had a tad bit more smoke than regular, also what cause the smoke? No rings so what let the oil get past?

Seems to be normal. My FD does this and both my old '86 and '79 RX did this as well.

Ambient air temperature is low, the ECU compensates for the extra oxygen by richening the mixture. Very normal. Watch for boost spikes in cooler weather.

We have oil injectors to lube the motor, when you shut your car off you will probably still have some oil in the motor, it will settle and when you fire it back up it will burn out creating smoke. I think if the oil is cold, it will burn thicker.
