Pillow ***** Pillow ***** Pillow *****?????
I saw on another thread a link to Max Coopers Pillow ball bushing replacement...Does anyone know what the bushing should feel like? Mine are easy to roll around but no side to side movement.
I just ordered some from Mazda at $42.00 a pop...I Hope I need them.
Heres the link.

If they move easily in your hand they are probably ready to be replaced. When new they are stiff enough you have to use a screwdriver to move the pivot.
I just jack up the car, grab the suspension and start shaking to find the culprit.
By the way, I replaced mine exactly like Max did (thanks) and it worked beautifully. Only thing I have to add is when pressing the old ones out, tighten your press up tight and then give the bearing one sharp whack with a hammer. Mine backed right out then as you don't have to "break" the bearing loose from the suspension arm.
