Slow Primary???
After searching and reading various threads I haven't been able to come up with a solution. The problem is a sometimes slow responding primary turbo. I have a normal boost pattern, but occasionally response from the first turbo isn't exactly stellar.
I noticed this from trying a couple 40-70 rolls in third.
I've also noticed that after I shut the car down and start it up again the problem is no longer there. Unrelated? I've searched for bad, split, cracked hoses and came up with NADA
Anyway, it doesn't happen all the time but frequent enough. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks !!

This might be a long shot, but does it happen when you take it up past 4,500 and then let off to say 3,100 and then get on it again? If so then your car is running the turbos nonsequentially. After the transition, to get it to go back into sequential mode(i.e. primary alone) you have to bring the engine below 3,000 rpm. If it's not happeneing in those circumstances, then it could be that your control system is malfunctioing and keeping the turbos nonsequential, when it shouldn't, or your primary turbo might be wearing out.

If your primary is sluggish it could be something related to the wastegate:
Missing pill
Wastegate Actuator and/or connection to Wastegate
Wastegate Solenoid
a leak is always a suspect
Also the precontrol door could slightly open robbing boost from the primary. You would need to reset the the length of the precontrol rod.

On the turbos there are two actuators with rods attached to the turbos. The top one is for the wastegate and the bottom one is for the precontrol. The rod attaches to the door to prespool the secondary turbo.

It has an adjustable end. You can make it tighter or looser by turning the end. It's not a lot of fun, and you can even brake the rod if your not careful. What's your problem Brad.
