Size of coolant temp sender?

Quick question - does anyone know the size of the coolant temp sender, the one that connects to the stock temp gauge? This is the one on the back iron.

I want to relocate one of my coolant temp sensors to this location. It is a 1/8 NPT fitting.

TIA!

Confirm that it is, and if it is, glowshift sells a 1/8 bspt to 1/8npt adapter.

^ Thanks. Saw the glowshift adapter. They state you also need an extender so the sensor fits. I might just order this as well as the reverse adapter (NPT to BSPT) so I can move the stock unit to the water pump housing, or where the sensor I want to move is located.

My other option is to locate the sensor in the throttle body hose.

if you get the reverse adapter, wont it be back to BSPT again?

The one that I ordered is a 1/8 BSPT male to 1/8 NPT female, so it should do the job. I also ordered the opposite so I can install the stock sender in the current location of my PLX unit. I did order the extender as well but don't think I'll need it. Wanted to make sure I had everything versus having to stop in the middle with coolant leaking out.

I understand and very much appreciate the help. If there is anyone with the definitive answer, chime in please. With what I have ordered, I am prepared no matter which thread it is. Not going to take anything out until the adapters show up just in case. If it's all NPT, then easy stuff and if not, no problems.

Okay, so the size of the OEM coolant sensor - the one that attaches to the instrument cluster gauge - is 1/8 NPT.

Wanted to make sure you have that for your records. I went to Auto Zone and bought a replacement unit and then went to Ace Hardware along with my PLX sensor. We measured them there and they are the same. This will make the swap I want to do much easier.
