The good thing about the AMG is everything that goes wrong is covered on the forum and can be done as a DIY. MB Miami charges about the same but you wont see me there.

Still OP, for 25k, you'd be a fool not to let it go. If the buyer knew better, 25k could get him a pretty decent 20b converted FD, and then some.
a 20b FD for 25k?

you must be talking to a half way done fd with a 20b block sitting in it..

I say keep it. From the numbers listed you already have 25k in it. Even though it is a rare opportunity to get more than your car is probably worth and get all your money back, you will probably not save any money in the long run. All the other options are more expensive and only better in some respects...Supras are way overpriced, NSX is pricey and not up to RX-7 performance, M3 is expensive and expensive to work on, 300zx is a personal favorite but can be pricey and lacks RX-7 performance in stock form. We could probably all list cars all day long and you might find something that is in the price range but then you're back to square one with a new car you are not an expert on, one with new issues, drawbacks, and you know you're not going to leave it stock. Do you really want to start all over? Unless you're looking for a daily driver I think you have it all with the RX-7 since you already have it built up and tuned. Knowing the cars history is a big thing too. There are a lot of douchebags out there driving someone elses future car.

my last car was a 300zx, spent a lot of money and made it the way i wanted it, but it no where even comes close to comparing to an rx7 in any form. although i still do like them, but not enough to own another one.

Keep it. You're only going to buy something else and do the same thing all over again. Try building up a european car and I think it will cost more in every way. At least the majority of the depreciation has happend years ago. My last car was a Volvo S60r. No RX-7 but it did boogie pretty good, got 30 mpg hwy, and was built like a tank. I sold it because a downpipe was $900, that and the FWD biased AWD was a weak link. Stick with what you know. What else is there really? These are the pinnacle when you take the whole picture into consideration. I would love a late model Cosmo with the 20b but it's not the same thing and auto sucks. Now I'm blabing about other cars. The grass is always greener on the other side...a bird in the hand is better that two in the bush...or is it a hand in the bush is better than two birds?

Same here for e46 stuff, but I have 0 time. But, I know a few people... so it's cheap. I'd do it myself if I was broke ;p

SELL THE FD FOR 25K, buy another for 15k, pocket 10k, spend it on hookers and blow.

2 guys at my work have M3's and they spend tons more money on regular maintenance than anyone I know on FD's ... last repair bill I heard about topped $3500, just to fix an exhaust leak for the cat, which got replaced with a brand new factory unit, almost $2k just for the cat. And the remaining was for a leaky seal in the oil pump. Oh and a full motor rebuild, $8-10k and that's just stock!!! YIKES! I'll stay with the FD any day.

Don't sell, you will regret it, and Integra's are b o r i n g !!!

And don't discredit the guy not know the market. I bet he does know but has money to spend - it is a buyers market afterall... besides a low mileage white FD, that's pretty rare. Keeping it will keep the value of the car, selling it only lets people know its not very coveted... even for a white FD.

And the others saying to sell and pocket the money are just broke anyway - flame me if you can, I triple dog dare ya

Sell it and don't look back... otherwise you'll see the buyer chasing you asking for some money back!

^ whats the mileage? I've been itchin to pull the trigger and get a 2nd one... vr of course. one for the track... since the one I have already has a roll bar great susp setup, but shitty tan interior and a paint job with the clear coat on the roof about to start showing through... so, something more worthy of showboating on the street or even... car shows !!!!

geez! You're thinking of selling, I'm thinking of buying 2!

If someone wanted to give me $25k and an integra for my FD, I'd sign over the pink slip in a heartbeat. As much as I love my FD, I probably wont turn down an offer that good. Mine is also a '94 and most of my mods are in the suspension department but now my car gets driven once or twice a month or more if I have a track day. I always tell people to give me $20k cash when they ask if its for sale but maybe my price is too low? I would buy a shell with no sunroof (im 6'4" and dont fit very well in mine w/helmet) and build a track car or look into another fun car for the track. Either that or get a house

If you pass up his deal, tell him theres another white RX-7 for sale thats in California that will make the drive without problems back to SC.

Hard to say if you should sell it. I bought my 95 Mon. Blue with 13k for $21k if I remember right. Base model with front R2 lip, wing, and dual oil coolers installed at the dealer. I am the third owner.

Car has been setting for 2 years waiting for me to finish my single conversion. I dont think I would sell for $25k. Maybe $30k, and I would start to look at E46 M3: very clean, of save up for a Gallardo from a auction and twin turbo the thing myself.

I would go for $30k and not take the Integra. with your car.

I'm not telling the OP to buy a E46 M3, however, I have one and a FD. I can tell you that I have spent about 1/10th of the money on maintenance on my M3 than I have on my FD.

$2000 for a OE BMW cat? You do realize that the OE RX7 cat is $1500? The M3 is no different than any other car. If you use dealership labor and OEM parts, it's expensive. However, just like any other car, you don't have to to use the dealership or OEM parts.

Just stopping the myths. The M3 is a great car for what it is. With very few changes, you can tear up the track and then carry 3 other people out to lunch while filling the truck full of anything you might need/purchase. It's not a sports car, it's a sports sedan. BTW, those who claim they rip different cars up on DE track days need to think about it (i.e. it's not a racing event). I've whipped around Ferrari's, Vipers, etc, on the track before; but that doesn't make my old/cheap RX7 a better car. That just means they were trying to have a good time and not crash their expensive cars where as I didn't give a rip.

op is full of ****. no one is dumb enough to offer $25k plus and integra for an fd (save for and extremely rare model), and no one is brain dead enough not to accept. you'd have to be a moron and a half not to take that deal. it's not a legit offer.
