Hello members.
I bought re amemiya shifter from fellow member here and noticed something strange.

rhd transmissions bend the shifter to the right. this is probably to compensate for that. i know that my car, the shift **** almost touches the e brake when its up and in reverse.

rhd car w/ rhd transmission..

Hmm it's confusing when some say yes but others say no.
It'd be awesome to hear from re amemiya shifter owners if possible.
I saw someone posted a pic of stock shifter and mazdaspeed shifter, stock looked slightly bent as well.

maybe i was misinformed then? i was always told that there is a difference in shifter location based on us spec or jspec transmissions because of the drivercentric center console. i know that my lhd car did not have the issue with the shifter being insane close to the ebrake when in reverse.

let us know whatever you find.

Right or wrong, that bend is SO minor that it won't cause any problems and I doubt you'll ever notice it.

So I had time to open up my shifter today and found oem is slight bent as well. I'm don't think it bent same direction but at least not diagonally.

Feels like oem is bent towards driver, amemiya is either front to back. Reason being amemiya had 2 grooves and oem has 1.

This is good info. For New users as well as current.
