Shaneracing intercooler
Does anyone have experience with Shaneracing (SR) stock mount intercooler ?
It can be seen here SR Intercooler
Is it worth upgrading stock IC with this one (or one much like it) ?
I could have one fabricated here and could keep the stock piping or get myself done some polished metal (what's better, alu or stainless steel?) piping for like $300.
So is it worth it ?
I'm planning on running 10-12psi with mods listed in the sig.
Thanks!

I have one that works fine with my small single setup (t04e). It will work great with your application, particularly since you're running low boost pressures.
Fit is good, although it takes a little work to get the stock duct to match up with IC. I ended up finishing the job with a little duct tape; works well, but no style points...

I have the SR stock mount IC. It does not fit perfectly. I had to trim some of the plastic holding the radiator fans. Without trimming it would rub and the fans would hit the plastic fan bracing.
The inlet and outlet of the IC is bigger in diameter. It's a pain to get the stock rubber pipes on the inlet and outlet. You really have to stretch it to fit.
It works fine for me. (minor mods)
Oh, and it's a Spearco core.

I won't get the exact SR stock mount IC, but someone will make me a copy by my exact measurements. I heard people saying that turbos need to bost for like 2psi LESS on some ICs for the same intake manifold pressure, which is good. Would that be true also for such IC or should I think bigger ?

You are talking about a high pressure-dropping i/c vs a low pressure-dropping i/c. It really depends on the design of the core & endtanks, etc so nobody would be able to tell you how efficiently your custom i/c will perform. If you are to duplicate the SR smic, then it would perform averagely compared to the other smic's of the day. It's all in the link Mahjik gave you.....
