Other then the TCA what else actually makes it switch back and forth from non-seq to seq?
The CCV, TCA, and CRV all need to work when you make the transition.

I'll bet you have solenoids sticking. The actuators don't fail too often - usually it's the pressure/vacuum being fed to them. Do you have a Mityvac or a spare boost/fuel pressure gauge of some type?

I have a mityvac tester... I too think that one of my sollenoids is bad... problem is before i put the engine in i tested them all. But then again, this is fd and **** happens all the time.

I'm suspecthing that maybe it's the Charge control acuator... I'll test them out again and see what happens.

Boostin FD,,, i have similar problems to u but not as bad,,,mine works fine most of the time. Ive been reading about the turbo system for some time because i really want to understand exactly how it works,,, here is what i think my problem is, and might be yours too.
The turbo control actuator is run by 2 electric solenoids, 1 -vacume, 2- pressure (it uses both vacume and pressure for a faster response time,, makes the thing work quicker),
i beleive that one of the switching solenoids is not working correctly (the heat from the engine kills them with time)
I beleive that one of the solenoids is allowing either pressure or vacume to the turbo control actuator, to open it, to put it into twin mode....... but when its supposed to switch back it isnt (its sticking open).

This action causes the turbo control actuator to stay open (i also have loud exaust when this happens),, im gonna check and change both the solenoids!
