Secondary boost problem

I tried search but i couldn't find any combination of words that described my problem. My primary turbo spools fine to 10 psi however when the secondary hits it drops to 5 and then goes to 7 then begins to sputter between 7 and 5 psi it does this at WOT.. anyone by chance have a similar problem and were able to solve it? thank you

Try changing/crossing the electrical plugs (not the vacuum hoses) on the Pre-Control/Wastegate solenoid. This is the "double" solenoid that is located underneath and in front of the UIM. I had the same problem of not boosting over 7 psi after secondary transition. I crossed them and immediately obtained 10-12-10 pattern. Good Luck.

i tried switching over the electrical connectors still haven't solve the problem ne more suggestions?

Could be a vaccum related issue.(vaccum hose related) What is the milage on your car? Are your Intercooler couplers original?(specifically the y-pipe to IC crossover) Have you had the silicon hose replacement job done? Lots of little things to check.... make sure you switch the pre-control and wastegate control connectors back to their original positions.

I have the same problem. Primary boosts fine and then secondary only does 7-8psi (at transition it falls down to 5psi). Could this be caused by a clogged pre-cat ?
Anyway I'm installing a DP in coming days and we'll see. Otherwise I'll just have to find the culprit.

When my cats clogged I lost boost on both turbos.

i've done a vac job to the car and i have an efini ypipe ... my friend was kind enough to give me a new coupler the one from the ypipe to the intercooler.. like when it transitions it ends up fluttering like 10-5-7-5-7 until i hit redline
the car has around 56k on it

I started having the same boost problem this weekend. Seems like the presure (boost) just drops right when the second one wants to come on. I am sure this must be a common thing on our cars I have heard this problem too many times. I have not upgraded anything in over a year that could or would affect the boost. Seems like a vaccum leak, or something else just came off. Anyone??

Do you hear any fluttering in the exhaust note? Is your exhaust stock? I had a CCA that was going bad and fluttered when the transition to the secondary occured.(When the flapper valve in the y-pipe opens)I could hear the valve flutter in the exhaust note.(full exhaust) I also had a valve get sticky after cleaning it. Just added some tri-flo lube to the pivot points and it was ok.

how'd you solve the problem? did you have to replace the CCA? sorry where is the valve located? haha where exactly did you have to lube?

is it located on the ypipe sorta in the back.. the pipe coming outta the secondary turbo?

I have the same prob but i dont hear a fluttering noise on the exhaust, just on my stock vented BOV, its keeps venting even tho im still under full throttle.

Check: couplers, hoses, solenoids, valves, actuators.

If they all seem fine, do some T-tests.

Then come back and tell us what the problem was.

Ok, I replaced all vacuum lines (this time with silicon, Cam recommended goodyear rubber last time) I also checked the check valves. The only test I was concerned about was the CCA. Test says start car let warm up verify that arm on CCA is in, turn off car pull vac line and arm should come out. Mine comes out as soon as car is turned off? Also I noticed my car is low on the vacuum at idle, 11-12hg instead of 17-19 in the past. So must be a vac leak but I just did a hose job?? Could there be a actuator leaking internally? I also installed a new y-pipe to eliminate that issue.
