scam? Anyone recognize this FD?

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=60

If it's a scam the guy paid $50 to place the ad on Autotrader... The location is supposedly in NH but it says it passes CA smog, and the pics look like they're from CA. I dunno fellas. Sounds fishy to me. I emailed him so I'll wait and see what the reply is.

Well, he posted quite a few pictures. It is a Montego Blue w/ Tan, probably the least desirable color combo in the world. Compression numbers would be nice to know. For 5k though, it's a steal.

CA smog test is probably mentioned because it is probably the most strict emission control in north america. What the seller wanted to say was probably that the emissions are very good. But then again, this is just my opinion. I don't personally know what CA looks like so I can't comment on that part.

The only way to find out is contact the seller. See what he say's and let us know. For that price, one could fly out and see the car.

Personally i think its a scam. Where's the VIN?

i'd say scam, I called the number and it went straight to a voicemail/fax message. I've come across a few other scams on paid autotrader ads, so don't think the cost makes much of a difference.

keep calling though, maybe this is a steal....

Definitely a scam. That car would be worth more than 5 grand with a blown engine. With a set of aftermarket rims, decent body, a clean interior and a good running engine, any manual FD will sell for $10k or above.

It was removed because it was a scam.

If something is too good to be true, it is.
