safe boost mods

This is the car I just bought. I pick it up Saturday so I'm not sure what the current boost is set to, but it's considered a show car and has been taken car of quite well.

Is it safe to say that if I added a water injection system, in addition to a propane injection system, I could safely raise the boost 3-5psi w/o fear of knock?

Why don't you ask the owner how much boost the car is running? With the G-Force ECU, my guess is 13, 14 PSI max.

And BTW, why are you so preoccupied w/ raising boost levels? If this is your first 3rd gen. RX-7, read all the newbie stickies, learn about the car first and all its trouble spots, learn how to drive it and find your limits, *then* worry about making more power later. That car looks like it'll be a handful for just about anybody.

Actually the G-force will run 14.7 psi (1 bar).

ummm??

how do u not know what boost your running?

it has a boost gauge on it! and a Air to Fuel gauge also!

unless u haven't driven it.

get a powerFC for it.
on that ebay auction it doesn't say anything about an after market ecu.

and if u do wanna up your boost..... dont go above 13psi you'll max your injectors out and blow the motor. but dont do it on the stock ecu!

like i said befor get a power fc and then have it Dyno TUNED!

Re-read post #1 again.

He picks up the car on Saturday.

On the auction page, it mentions, "G-FORCE ECU".

I know nothing about this ECU, however, I stand corrected.
