Where can I find IT mod rules?

I've heard that if I set up my 1st gen as an IT racer it will be allowed in CSP for local autocrosses. I would like to know where I can find a list of allowed and unallowed modifications. I have an old GCR rule book, is any of what I'm looking for in there? I am not familiar with the racing side of SCCA at all.

The GCR is what you need, but spend the money and get the 2003 version. The rules change. In the back of the GCR, look for "IT Category Specs" or "ITCS".

I think mine is a 2002 (maybe 2001) so I'll look it up and then see if I can't find the changes somewhere.

Thanx.

I doubt you'll find them anywhere. The SCCA is pretty good about keeping the rules contained in the GCR so that you'll have to buy one. There was a guy that had an old version online, but they had him take it down.

You'll be able to find snippets here and there from people discussing the rules, but you wont find a complete GCR.

Spend the $25. It's much cheaper than getting your cage done and finding out that ERW tubing is no longer allowed and you're out $1000.

The changes are online. They are here: http://www.cendiv-scca.org/racing/gcr_changes.html

Although this will work for telling you what rules changes there are, you really should buy the new GCR. It helps when you get protested, or need to protest someone else when you have your own copy.

I ain't protesting anyone. And if they want to protest me, it's their $20, what do I care? I'm out to have fun without being in some ungodly class where I'll get spanked everytime.
