Well, you get the car in 5 months...
So I guess we can expect to hear back from you in about 6, when you've blown your first engine??

I kid, I kid. Anyway, glad you enjoyed your first experience in the FD. Treat her right and she'll treat you the same way back. Well - most of the time anyway. Err...I mean...SOMETIMES. If you're lucky.

Congratulations for coming to our side. Yes RX7s can be great fun but do not go around with it with just "street racing" intentions or you will not have that much fun for long.

Treat her a Ferrari because she deserves it but always be a bit afraid of her also.

I wouldn't say to be afraid of the car - more like, respect the power and observe the limits of the car. Too many people seem to be trying to push it "just a little farther" on the street, or on that one freeway on-ramp they take every day, without really knowing how much is too much. That seems to be the common thread that ties together most of the "I totalled my RX-7" threads we've been seeing lately.

So have fun, but just like drinking - KNOW YOUR LIMITS!
don't do anything stupid, we don't need another totalled car thread!

rock on bros! cheers!
Yes, and they will taunt you like crazy.
You'll get your share of ricer fly-by's, and dumbasses rev'ing on you at stoplights. Trust me. I've been known to give in a few times, when it happened late at night on an empty open road...but usually I just let them be.

I drove auto FD and it was very un-impressive. Wait till you try 5spd. Then you will step into a new world. I got my flame suit on already.

I dont think you'll get too many stupid ricers trying to race you. When i first got my rx-7 3 years ago i had a lot of them trying to race me but after a little while nobody would rev their cars at me anymore.

It's sad that your cousin chose his g35 over his rx7 but that's the way it goes sometimes.I did the same stupid thing, i chose my new car over my rx7 but now i cant wait till i start driving my 7 again.First thing im going to do is put about 6k into and drive it over my other car.

You're lucky as hell than. After 5 years, I still get Farmer Bill in his F250 w/glasspacks reving at me at stoplights. It never ends..

Don't buy an Auto. You'll regret it. You'll alwasy be in envy, especially if you frequent this place.

You know what they say about an automatic sports car? it's automatically not a sports car.

Real Estate Agent huh? Man if I saw a 7 cruisin around town with a Prudential magnet and a sappy Wal Mart portrait, I know who I would be calling.
