rx-7 vs Skyline Gtr
I know the Gtr isn't in the USA but for those of you who do know about it, WOW, it's a monster.
I'm in debate about which car would beat the other, rx-7 or gtr. Now I have video of the Gtr beating an Rx-7 0-100km but losing in overall speed. I am a TRUE rotary nut and would still buy a rx-7 over a gtr but I am afraid that the Gtr would win.
What do you think?

I know this kinda of question maybe all the rage but all that type R vs Rx7 was crap, we all rx7 would kill the integra. I am trying to draw emotion from you rotary nuts and I am just now outright saying the Gtr does beat will beat and continues to beat the rx7. Only Modified Rx-7s can come close, and I assume you all agree with me unless you say otherwise

ive got a best motoring video with the 2001 rx7 only getting beat by the nsx type 0 in the quarter mile, and the rx7 stomped everything at the circuit track, including gtr in both counts.
p.s. they also pit the 2001 against a 96 rz and the new one beat it at the track by 2 seconds, it was so damn noticably quicker.

Who really cares anyway? Nobody keeps either car stock in the real world. So long as I'm faster than my brother's skyline I couldnt care less And all thats taken so far is to keep pace with him mod for mod.

I think Rx-7 would beat everything below the r34, thus the I am speaking of new bone stock R34 vs a 2002 rx-7 with no mods. and for what kind of race I know the gtr kills the rx-7 in 0-100km so basicly overall performance, maybe I should what car would you rather have in a street course race

our puppies look better, are quieter, have optional childrens seats, less drag, better gas consumption, yada,yada...and oh yeah, we are only pushing 1.3 liters of gas/air mix per cycle. wait till the rx8 comes out and stomps that new 350z as well...boo to team nissan, horah for team mazda!

It isn't just the ITR thread, it's this vs that every week now and it just gets old. If you want my opinion the Skyline is more of a GT car suited for higher speeds and road courses, the RX-7 is more nimble and closer to what one may call a 'true' sports car. I have never driven a Skyline but I think it would be safe to assume that they are two very different experiences in driving.. there is about a 1000lb weight differential between the two (assuming you are talking about the R34). Unfortunately the Skyline has obtained this 'enigma' status on US soil, the fact is that they are as beatable as the next car.
I wouldn't trust any of those videos you see on the web pitting car vs. car.. the creator most often has a vested interest in one or the other car. On top of that who knows what sort of mods the cars have done to them, the driver's skill, tire compunds.. I could go on. I hope you aren't watching those vids with the NSX vs 'anything with 4 wheels'.. biggest BS I have seen.

What sucks about these threads is that someone asks "Is A faster than B?" and the majority of replies come from people who have only driven either A or B and generally nobody who has raced A against B knowing they were both stock, then swapped cars to see if it was just the driver. This is the only way you could honestly say which is faster.
The only cars I have done this with are:
93 RX-7 vs 93 GTR (rx-7 was faster - barely)
93 rx-7 vs BMW 540 (rx-7 was faster)
That's it. On all other comparasons I could only guess. Like every else seems to do.

This type of thread pops up all the type because it's an interesting question, and as for the videos if you want I will send that to you, and you will see they are not amatuer but proffesionaly done by a third party
