Running Non-sequen. at the Track....

Hi guys,

There is a local drag event this weekend. Wondering if I should switch to NON-sequential.

Anyone out there other than "Ryan" or Rikki. Running non-sequential and faster than Sequential at the track.

I was going to do the mod from Ryan's site and then switch back to seqential next week. Seems like it would be quite easy to switch back.

I have the usual mods: Street ported/ Pettit ecu/M2 large/full exhaust/intake/pulleys/Crane hi-6/RP fuel pump/4.3 gears/Kazz diff/Nitto 255/40 555 street tire/koni's and eibach springs.

any comments...?

jc.

I dropped my times down 2/10ths of a second with a lower mph though. It was at a different track though so that could be it as well. Launching is tons easier with non-seq though. 60ft times went down 2/10ths as well but that could also be the track.

i'm curious about the above statement. I thought the trade-off of the non-seqential was no low end because both turbos won't come on until later?

Correct me if i'm wrong.

it was a typo he meant seq. if you read the whole thing you can tell that's what he meant.

I dropped from a best of 2.23 60ft (seq) down to a 2.04 60ft (non-seq) with Nitto Drag Radials. This could also be the track since I have yet to race the same track with seq vs. non-seq. Same mods but different track for both 60fr times. I now have a slipping clutch so when I replace it I will go back to the track because I should be able to throw some 1.8 60ft times if I can figure out how not to bog the motor down with non-seq. I was dropping it at around 4700 and bogging so I need to raise the rpms. Toward the end of the night though when I was trying higher rpm launches my clutch was stinking like *** and sliiping through 3rd gear so my times were rather slow.
