Rubber Couplings

What are the diameters and lengths of the 3 short rubber couplings on the rear turbo inlet, y-pipe and intercooler? I want to order silicone replacements.

the ones RX7store carries fit fine

although i wouldn't recommend replacing any except for the upper intercooler pipe

the y-pipe to crossover pipe will burst open

the silicone is made for clamping down two metal pipes, you can't clamp hard enough on plastic for it to work...they just blow apart

2.75" x 3" is what I used, my coupling goes over the bump on the rear turbo inlet tube.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just reuse the OEM couplings.

I have been using the 2.75" orange turbo hose from Baker Precision for a long time on each end of the crossover tube. Never had it come off or split. Highly recommended.

Think it's about $25 for one foot which will make 4 couplers.

damon, do you know what the thickness is on those? 2.75 is the inside diameter, what does the outside measure?

Its walls are maybe 1/8" thick? So that would give a 3" outer diameter. This particular silicone hose is heavily fiber reinforced. It's thinner than most other stuff but very, very tough.

turbo hose

2.75"x 3" for turbo inlet coupling, what about the other 2? They appear to be the same size.

No. If I remember correctly the intake couplers to the airbox and turbo inlet are 3" inner diamter. The couplings to the y-pipe and intercooler are 2.75".

That is what I use, the texture on the outside does a great job of keeping the clamp in place. I have had it about a year and have never had one slip of leak. I second this recommendation.
