Size of the rear axle hub nut?

The giant nut that is in the center of the hub/rotor, staring you in the face when you pull the tire off -does anyone know what size it is? I don't have a socket that fits or a ruler/tape mesure handy (!@#$%) so I'd like to know exactly what size to buy.

-I do need to take this off to get the rotor and hub off right?

-edit, checked every manual I could find of course, even the parts list, no luck.
